Measure your floor for vinyl flooring
Simple to follow guide for measuring your areas for vinyl quotes
Make sure you cover the widest points
Vinyl comes in three widths, measure the room at its widest points and whichever width is appropriate will suggest itself. Consider the following diagram of a typical kitchen.

If (A) is 3.8 metres and (B) is 1.9 metres it would be possible to use either 2 or 4 metre widths - 3.8 x 2.0 metres or 1.9 x 4.0 metres. A 2 metre width would hence give 7.6 m2 and a 4 metre width would actually give the same - ordering in either width would make no difference to the price.
If (C) was 3.3 metres then using the "WASTE" next to the fridge to fill underneath the cooker would mean you could order a piece 3.3 x 2.0, giving an area of 6.6 (just make sure you order underneath the cooker as in the diagram. Realistically, this would not be a significant saving.
Bathrooms
Bathrooms are typically rectangular shape - sometimes with an area next to the bath that needs to be considered in what would otherwise be rectangular. You can ignore the fittings such as WC, sink and bidet as they don't affect the maximum dimensions. Make sure you count airing cupboards if you want them covered.
