Weekend in Bath

What a fabulous weekend we had in Bath, sheer luxury to leave the kids behind lol (I did buy them a present). From the moment we got there all I could see was beautiful architecture everywhere!

From buildings to bridges and modern shopping arcades, everything was laid out perfectly in this wondrous city. Straight to the Roman Baths we went and were mesmerised by the wonder of such history brought to life. Afterwards we went upstairs to the glorious Pump Room and had tea and cakes whilst listening to a violist playing - I almost believed I was cultured!

My wife couldn't wait to spend my money at the shoe shops and I was grateful for the plentiful cafe stops (so was my wallet). In the afternoon, we both had a luxurious massage at the Thermae Spa Bath before going to the shops once again. I did insist on a stop at he pub of course and managed to have a couple of pints under cover of lunch.

Evening meal was courtesy of the hotel (well it was too good not to try it) and we were treated to cordon bleu cookery amongst the pillars and cornices. Of al the hotels in Bath we could have chosen, The Crescent turned out to be a great choice (my wife was smarmy because she found it on a website).
